Umeboshi are Japanese pickled plums — tangy, salty, and deeply aromatic. Traditionally served with rice, they’re naturally fermented and prized for their bright, complex flavor and digestive benefits.
Enjoy umeboshi on rice, in onigiri, with vegetables, or as a flavorful accent to sauces and dressings. You can also eat it straight from the jar for a bold, energizing bite.
Our ume are grown at Hamada Farms in Wakayama, Japan — a region known for producing over 70% of Japan’s ume harvest. Blessed with mineral-rich sea breezes and generations of craft, this area is recognized by the UN as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System (GIAHS).
Yes. Our umeboshi are shelf-stable when unopened and stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, we recommend refrigerating and consuming within 6 months for optimal flavor and quality.

Through fermentation and careful aging, the ume develops natural organic acids and probiotics that contribute to wellness, making it a powerful, natural preservative and tonic.
Because our products are food items, we cannot accept returns once shipped. However, if your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us at contact@ume-reserve.com within 7 days of delivery, and we’ll make it right.

Orders are typically processed within 2–3 business days of purchase. During high-demand periods or product launches, processing may take slightly longer. You’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details once your order has shipped.
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your delivery location and the weight of your order.
We currently ship to addresses within the United States.
Please note that we do not ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses at this time.
Delivery times vary by region but generally take 3–7 business days once your order has shipped. Expedited shipping options may be available at checkout.
